We set out to give a category leader a voice. So we crafted a portfolio with their most celebrated products such as watches and sneakers and launched custom social platforms dedicated to their social audience of more than 1mm people with bespoke content.
To launch @ebaywatches we brought the hype with a :60 film where watch enthusiasts and influencers shined a light on what made eBay timepieces their favorite.
We kept the feed scrolling going by stylizing the handle and developing an art direction approach watch lovers would adore. To increase engagement we created #WatchMe, a social campaign that puts the story behind every timepiece front and center.
Then, for Valentine’s Day we launched a micro campaign for the eBay master brand. We romanticized the luxury watch world by tapping into the storytelling format of film noir. “A Timeless Love Affair” was shot in the heart of Mexico City to truly make it feel like a timepiece dating back to when wrist watches were popularized, the 1940s.
