This year, I’ve been able to cross three things off my bucket list: visiting New York City, seeing Terry Crews in person, and winning an award with an amazing team!

It was exciting enough to hear that our “Free The Guac” social media activation for QDOBA had won a Shorty Award for Best Physical and Digital Convergence, but to find out that I was going on a trip across the country to celebrate…I was so thrilled!

Attending my very first awards ceremony was an amazing experience. I was inspired to witness so many talented people being recognized for their roles in influencing the world wide web, and I was able to share a fun time with my team celebrating the hard work and effort that led us to a Shorty Award. Plus, seeing Terry Crews’ beautiful bald head from afar not only made my night, but my entire year.

I embraced the NY lifestyle as much as I could; we spent some time walking in the rain, savoring the smell of pizza and people watching. I even saw Emma Roberts in an elevator as we were returning from the Shortys. Jordan and Kiley kept their cool, but I was trying extra hard to act normal.

All in all, I experienced NYC in the best way possible – with some amazing people – and I’m
thankful for an agency that constantly exposes me to new places, people, and experiences.
