Bumble Bee is casting out more entertaining tuna content, this time with BuzzFeed’s Tasty. Dishing it up for tuna lovers right where they are spending their culinary time online, the partnership is the perfect opportunity for Bumble Bee to showcase its craveability, versatility, and convenience.
The Tasty partnership kicked off with The Great Tuna Taste Off featuring Alix Traeger and Rie McClenny of Tasty. Similar to the Food Network’s hit show Chopped, viewers watch Rie and Alix race against the clock to see who can create a delicious lunchtime recipe with a surprise ingredient: Bumble Bee Albacore Tuna!
A Basketful integration for each recipe made it easy for viewers to add Bumble Bee right to their virtual grocery cards. Through Basketful’s retail agnostic add-to-cart functionality, a simple click of the “Shop Now” button led to a list of local retailers, identified by zip code, where recipe ingredients could be purchased and picked up right then and there.
Rie prepared a tuna avocado tartine dish while Alix prepared niçoise pasta salad with dill-dijon dressing.
Bumble Bee also extended its engagement at Buzzfeed and across the platform’s social channels, including design-led content, a quiz, and :15 social videos in celebration of National Seafood Month:
5 Tasty Truths That’ll Hook You On Tuna, featuring fun tuna artwork and truths about tuna that readers probably didn’t know.
This Quiz Will Give You A Fun Flavor-Packed Recipe To Try, which generated the ideal recipe to try based on their selection of the choices featured.
